Il mondo vegetale mi ha sempre affascinato: la sua minuziosità, l’eleganza delle sue forme, la sua fragilità e la sua grande forza, ma soprattutto la fantasia che l’evoluzione di milioni di anni ha avuto nel creare le sue forme, così particolari e così funzionali al tempo stesso. Molto ispirato dalle fotografie del mondo botanico di Karl Blossfeldt, fotografo tedesco vissuto a cavallo tra il XIX ed il XX secolo, in questa serie cerco di riprodurre la forma scultorea e pulita di alcune forme vegetali traendo ispirazione dal suo lavoro, così essenziale, pulito e allo stesso tempo scultoreo, fino a creare degli oggetti di medie e grandi dimensioni, un po’ reali e un po’ fantastici. È un mondo per me in costante evoluzione che mi porterà col tempo a ulteriori sperimentazioni sia formali che materiche.

The botanical world has always fascinated me: its meticulousness, the elegance of its forms, its fragility and its great strength, but above all the fantasy that the evolution of millions of years had in creating its shapes, so particular and so functional at the same time. Very inspired by the botanical photographs of Karl Blossfeldt, a German photographer who lived between the nineteenth and twentieth century, in this series I try to reproduce the sculptural and clean shape of some plant shapes inspired by his work, so essential, clean and at the same time sculptural, up to create objects of medium and large dimensions, a bit real and a little fantastic. It ‘a world for me in constant evolution that will take me over time to further experiments both formal and material.
